BIM135T-LED microscope

 The 4 achromatic objective lenses have been replaced with EA-Semiplan objective lenses with no optical distortions. The magnification for the 4 objective lenses is still 4x, 10x 40x and 100x respectively (the last one is oil immersion). The Abbe condensor can be adjusted not only in one direction (up-down) but can be moved in any direction perpendicular to its optical axis, making the Kohler-adjustment very easy. The built-in diaphragm can ne adjusted as well. The condensor can be replaced, so the microscope can be used for dark field, polarising or phase contrast work. The specimen stage can be adjusted in one direction, can be accessed easily for especially right handed users.

The BIM-135 is available in three versions: with a monocular head for visual observations (BIM-135M) and the BIM-135B (binoculars) and BIM-135T version to make photos with a digital camera. It can be bought with halogene and LED illumination, but it should be noted that polarisation and phase-contrast work cannot be done optimally with LED illumination, as the LED emits light at definite wavelengths.

Although some similar models are available at lower prices with similar specifications, it should be noted that this one is a very easy to use and robust model. The image is sharper, more contrasty. But the price difference can be easily justified just by calculating the price difference between 4 achromatic objective lenses and 4 semiplan ones.
